Going by the history of custom ROM, AOSP is one of the best custom ROMs available in the market. Although, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 comes with beautifully crafted and stable stock ROM as well, but, if you crave for a better customization; you should have custom ROM flashed on your Samsung P5110.

  • This AOSP Android 5.1.1 ROM only works on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, 10.1 P5110.
  • Flashing this ROM on other Tab 2 variant may brick your phone.
  • Root access is not necessary but you must have custom recovery flashed.
  • Flashing this ROM on your Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5110 will format all your files so, do backup your necessary files before you proceed.

1. Download AOSP Android 5.1.1 ROM for Galaxy Tab 2, 10.1 to your computer or phone and then move it to the root of your SD Card.

2. Boot your Samsung P5110 to recovery. Remember that it should be custom recovery using the recovery combination or the ADB Command.
How to Boot to Recovery. Turn off the phone
. Press and Hold the Power + Volume Up + Home Button together until the recovery screen comes up.
3. Once you are in Recovery Mode, perform a full wipe by selecting “wipe data/factory reset”. Use the Power button to select everything while in the Recovery Mode.

4. Then, wipe cache by selecting “wipe cache partition” .

5. Now, go back to the main recovery screen and select “install zip from SD card”.

6. Now select “choose zip from sdcard”. Using your volume keys, navigate to the Android 5.1.1 ROM zip file that you copied to your SD card earlier and select it using the Power button. Confirm the installation on the next screen and the installation procedure should start almost immediately.

Once the installation is complete, reboot your PC and enjoy!

First boot may take between 5 - 10 minutes to complete.
